The American Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African Psychological Association (AMENA-Psy) is hosting our 7th conference in Washington, DC on August 8-9.

The theme of the conference this year is Resistance through Psychological Scholarship and Practice: Advancing Policy Reform, Community Well-Being, and Justice for MENA Communities.

The conference is designed to balance the delivery of content and the opportunity for interactive discussion between attendees and presenters. Multidisciplinary, international, and student scholars/practitioners are welcome! We invite AMENA-Psy members and non-members to join us!

The schedule includes:

Saturday, August 8 - Evening Gala & Awards Reception, 6pm-10pm

Sunday, August 9 - Research Conference, 8am-6pm

Please read the following information carefully to ensure you can register for your desired rate by the appropriate dates.

REGISTRATION DETAILS:

• Early bird registration ends JULY 8.
• Any registration type that includes the August 8th Saturday Social MUST be completed no later than August 1st at 11:59pm EST in order to accurately plan for dinner service. (UPDATE! ADDITIONAL LIMITED SPOTS FOR THE GALA ARE STILL AVAILABLE!)
• August 9th Sunday Conference ONLY registrations can be purchased through August 9th.
• For AMENA-Psy Member Rates, you MUST register for the conference with the email associated with your AMENA-Psy account.
• Saturday Social and Sunday Conference locations will be included in your registration confirmation email.
• Please ensure that admin@amenapsy.org and amenapsyconference@gmail.com are added to your safe senders list. Please check your spam/promotional folders for any conference related emails.

APA Approved CE Sessions - $60 Flat Rate

• Attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to 4 APA approved CE credits, sponsored by The Multicultural Counseling Institute.
• There is one $60 flat rate fee regardless of how many CE sessions you attend.
• There are no early bird restrictions and attendees can purchase CEs up until the start of the conference program.
• CEs can be added to your cart when selecting your conference registration type. 
• You MUST attend the entirety of a CE session to earn credit. 

Hotel Accommodations
We've found that attendees can secure a less expensive rate at the Courtyard by Marriott Washington Downtown/Convention Center than our official room block rate. Therefore, we have cancelled the room block and encourage you to book directly through the hotel’s website.
