AMENA-Psy Student Committee's Professional Development Subcommittee:
Literature Review Workshop + Virtual Co-Writing Session
This event is designed for AMENA-Psy student members interested in strengthening their academic research/writing skills while connecting with peers in a supportive, collaborative environment! Registrants must hold an active AMENA-Psy undergraduate or graduate student membership, and use the email associated with their AMENA-Psy account to register.
The event will begin with a Literature Review Workshop (4:30–5:00 PM EST), developed in response to student needs and interests. This session will focus on conducting literature reviews with an emphasis on research related to AMENA (Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African) populations, including strategies for searching, organizing, and synthesizing scholarly sources.
Following the workshop, we will transition into a Virtual Co-Writing Session (5:00–6:30 PM EST). This dedicated writing time is intended to support your ongoing projects (papers, thesis, dissertations, or other scholarly work or writing assignments) while also fostering accountability and connection with fellow students
This event offers an opportunity to build practical research/writing skills, make meaningful progress on your writing, and connect with a community of peers who share similar academic and professional interests. You are welcome to attend either portion of the event or both, as registration is the same regardless of which session(s) you plan to join.

We hope you will join us for an evening of learning, writing, and community-building!
