Research Is Never Done: Finding Balance as a Student
Wednesday, November 18th | 3:30 PM PT/ 6:30 PM ET
Graduate school and research come with ongoing demands, and it can be challenging to balance academic responsibilities with life outside of work. Join the AMENA-Psy Student Committee for an open, student-centered conversation about navigating competing demands, managing expectations, and making space for personal wellbeing, relationships, and other priorities. Together, we'll share experiences, discuss practical strategies, and explore ways to approach graduate training more sustainably.
What to Expect
The event will include a brief introduction, a guided discussion, and time for open conversation and questions.
We'll explore three main themes: • Managing competing academic, research, and personal responsibilities • Making space for wellbeing, relationships, and life outside of work • Sharing practical strategies for finding balance and approaching graduate training sustainably We encourage you to bring your experiences, questions, and perspectives, though participation is welcome at whatever level feels comfortable.
Registrants must hold an active AMENA-Psy undergraduate or graduate student membership, and use the email associated with their AMENA-Psy account to register.
